Now Japan is in the middle of what it called 'Golden Week'! At the beginning of May, there are many public holidays so that people can get more or less a week holiday depending a year. Even though there are sooooo many people in famous towns, I went to Kamakura with my friends to feel 'Golden Week' haha

Can you tell there are exactly soooo many people there?

This large statue of Buddha is called Daibutsu in Japanese. This one is located in Koutoku-in. Personally I think this Daibutsu is very famous so I thought this had a long story. However, it seems like a story of this Daibutsu is very vague. When exactly this was build is also not unveiled.

These make me feel 'Oh thank god! I'm in Japan!'  They are Japanese pickles called Otsukemono. I really like these since I was young like an elementary school students even though they are for more like adults who drink alcohol. haha
The last time I visited Kamakura was when I was a junior high school student. At that time, I really wanted to buy some Otsukemono but I didn't have enough money. Poor young Ayah!
So today, I'm a bit grown up. I made up my mind to buy Otsukemono!!!! hahahaha

This is called 'Fu Manju' It seems Manju is normally translated into sweet bean paste bun... This one is Manju but its bun is made from a breadlike food made of wheat gluten.(I'm not sure whether this makes sense or not.... You know it's very difficult to translate very Japanese things into English.) I really like Fu's texture

This post is more like my dairy. I hope you enjoy this and have a nice weekend :) X
